and Leadership Position in Speech Analytics Terry Leahy Hired as President and CEO; Jeff Gallino Named Chairman of the Board and CTO
Fort Myers, Fla. (October 2, 2007) – CallMiner, a leading developer of advanced speech analytics, today announced that Terry Leahy has been named CallMiner’s
President and CEO. Jeff Gallino, CallMiner’s former CEO, will become Chairman of the Board and CTO. CallMiner made these changes to best support its continued
commitment to and success in the rapidly evolving speech analytics arena.
Leahy brings more than 25 years of corporate management experience and leadership accomplishments in complex, global, technology-driven businesses to his role as CEO
and president. Prior to joining CallMiner, he was CEO of continuous data protection technology developer Revivio. Previously, Leahy served as CEO at Stream
International, a multi-billion dollar software reseller and technical support provider. Under his direction, Stream International was reorganized into multiple
spin offs including Modus, a global supply chain services company. As Founder, Chairman and CEO of Modus, Leahy was responsible for leading the company’s
aggressive growth and global expansion.
"After five years of consistent growth in an emerging market, we have seen our prospects explode along with the recent rapid expansion in the speech analytics
industry. These changes create great opportunities for us," said Jeff Gallino of CallMiner. "Terry brings a wealth of experience and proven track record of leading successful, rapidly growing technology companies to CallMiner. Adding him to our executive team will enable us to maintain our market leadership while continuing to provide our current and future customers with superior analytics technology."
"Working closely with Jeff on the advancement of the company is very exciting for me," stated Terry Leahy of CallMiner. "This is a pivotal time in CallMiner’s development, and my joining as president and CEO will allow Jeff to focus his energies squarely on evolving CallMiner’s technology to help the company not only further solidify its leadership in the speech analytics arena but also enable it to grow into other areas."
According to Jim Davies, research director, Gartner, Inc., "The speech analytics market is rapidly gaining momentum due to a combination of increased solution
maturity and organizational awareness. The ability to accurately classify calls, increase customer understanding and provide previously untapped insights to
departments across the organization such as sales and marketing is fueling the accelerated adoption of these technologies. As the market matures vendors need to
be in a position to both manage this increased demand as well as provide ongoing support to their growing customer bases."
